Conditions for debt collection documents (BU)
Things to noteCertain conditions must be met to ensure that debt collection documents can be delivered correctly. The most important requirements at a glance:
Basic conditions
Only debt enforcement offices may order the debt collection document service. Debt collection documents will not be served on members of the armed forces while on active service. Redirection outside the debt enforcement district requires an explicit request from the debt enforcement office. Delivery to poste restante or foreign addresses is not possible.
Labelling (optional)
For delivery tracking (Track & Trace), a barcode must be affixed. Barcode labels can be ordered online under MyPostBusiness. Barcodes will be introduced for all debt collection documents with effect from 1 January 2013. We recommend that debt collection documents are always dispatched with a barcode.
Mailing
Debt collection documents can be handed in folded, unsealed or in an envelope. Where several debt collection documents are to be sent, the use of an envelope is recommended (collective item).
Where barcodes are used, each document must have a barcode. A barcode list 21 or 23 must also be enclosed.
Ban on mail deliveries by bankruptcy offices
In the case of mail delivery bans, an individually prepared, written redirection order must be sent directly to the responsible delivery office.
