Electronic tax assessment decision (eVV)

The customs create the electronic tax assessment notice automatically and, in general, provide it within a few days after the export. The notice is regarded as an export certificate and enables you to reclaim the VAT.

You have four possibilities to enter into possession of the tax assessment notice:

• Go to  Download the eVVThe link will open in a new window.
  You can log in with the consignment number and the sender postcode noted on the consignment.
• Transmission by Email. Only possible if the consignment note was created electronically and if your Email address was registered.
• Automatic transmission of the electronic tax assessment notice to the customer software which was used for the registration (only for electronic creation of the export declaration).
• Request by phone at the Customer service Postal customs clearance under 0848 639 639 (primarily for letter items without identification number).

Special provisions for letters:

• For registered letters, the eVV is only available via download
• For non-registered letters, the eVV can only be requested by telephone or by e-mail from the postal customs clearance customer service (tel.: 0848 639 639/postverzollung@swisspost.ch)
