IncaMail, an easy-to-use service of Swiss Post for securely and verifiably sending confidential e-mails, will be integrated into imageRUNNER ADVANCE, Canon’s current line of multifunctional systems. The multifaceted standard functions, such as printing, copying, faxing, and scanning will be enhanced by the IncaMail application. Confidential documents can be printed out on the system and physically signed or stamped. The documents are then scanned in and sent to the recipient by selecting the IncaMail symbol on the display. This procedure satisfies the strictest security requirements. A confirmation of dispatch and receipt can be generated on request. All of this occurs directly at the machine.

Security is a priority for Canon regarding printers and copiers and therefore the integration of IncaMail is a very valuable enhancement. Businesses will benefit from this solution, which simplifies day-to-day operations and boosts efficiency.

Canon machines equipped with IncaMail are expected to be on the market starting in the spring of 2011. IncaMail integrated as an application into printers and copiers will be available exclusively from Canon. In the future, IncaMail can be pre-installed upon request. However, it is also possible to retrofit Canon multifunctional systems with the application if they are based on the MEAP platform.
