Prevention and motivation
Promoting health and fitnessSwiss Post relies on motivated, healthy and willing employees. Health promotion is therefore firmly embedded in its corporate policy.
As a progressive employer, Swiss Post invests in systematic health management. For their commitment, Swiss Post's major Group units have been awarded the „Friendly Work Space®“ quality label from the Health Promotion Switzerland Foundation.
Preventing occupational diseases and accidents
Swiss Post takes measures and supports actions by third parties that contribute to health and fitness:
- Bike to Work by Pro Velo Switzerland: for around a month, employees cycle part of their journey to work.
- Selling low-cost ski and bike helmets: for added safety during leisure time and when commuting.
- No-smoking bonus for trainees: health-aware trainees who complete their apprenticeships receive up to CHF 1,200.
- Trip trail: to raise awareness of the hazards encountered while walking, and to prevent occupational accidents.
- Motion sensor: step counters monitor physical movement – and motivate people to do more!
- Free entry to Swiss Post running events for employees.
- Health impairment profile: PostMail makes job applicants aware of physical and psychological challenges in the workplace.
Integrating people with disabilities
To avoid invalidity, Swiss Post gets sick and injured employees back to work quickly. People with disabilities continue in their jobs or are reintegrated. In Switzerland, we employ around 650 people with disabilities.
