Personal delivery

If the item you are sending needs to be delivered to a specific individual, you can send it as a personal delivery item.

Add the words «Personal delivery» above the address. Items marked for personal delivery can only be addressed to natural persons in possession of their mental faculties and the addressee's first name must be written out in full. Items cannot be sent to the business address of natural persons. If they are, Swiss Post cannot guarantee that they will be handed over to the desired addressee in person. At best, such items will be delivered to an authorized person. Notes such as «Personal», «Private» or «For personal delivery» will be ignored if the item is not registered. The additional services «Personal delivery» and «Acknowledgement of receipt» can also be combined.
